Purvi Sanghvi

Purvi is not your conventional ceramicist, armed with a Diploma in Business Management from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (Bombay, India) and coming from a traditional business family, she is someone you would not expect in this field. If that was not enough, her specialization in ceramic jewellery design certainly makes her stand out as truly unique and establishes her "out of the box" thinking.

Purvi stumbled upon a small part-course in ceramics at Sophia College (Bombay). Soon after, she completely gave herself to the learning of pottery and attended workshops by famous potters like Sandy Brown (Devon) and Douglas Phillips (Somerset) in England, and Mansimran Singh (Andretta) in the Himalayan foothills.

Purvi made her mark with her first solo exhibition at Bombay in October 2000 and created a lot of interest in her unique range of beautifully crafted work .She continues to participate in numerous exhibitions that showcase her original ideas and unique talent in ceramic jewellery.

Presently, Purvi is pursuing a MA in Jewellery Design at the London Metropolitan University in the U.K.
